18th century sampler, 1788, recently glazed and framed

Full Description
A charming sampler produced in 1788 by an 8 year old girl living at the time of George 111
Some inevitable mistakes in the needlework (only perhaps to be expected of a child of this age) e.g:
- the letter J is missing from the top rendition of the alphabet
- some of the numbers have been duplicated, but there are single versions of numbers 11, 13 17
- the letters U and V have been transposed on more than one occasion
It is difficult to read some of the words (particularly those depicted in pink embroidery) but the sampler contains the letters ELiz followed in pink lettering with the name Treadway and the words “her work ….. in the 8 year of her age 1788” ….. Above …thyself thy neighbour love”
There are some minor colour runs in places as indicated in some of the photographs.
Recently framed with new glazing, mount and backing board. The frame is an attractive pale lemon colour though it looks white in the photographs. The mount is also pale lemon in colour. Behind the embroidery there is the original paper backing as shown in the photographs. Hanging hoops and cord attached. Picture hook and nail also provided so this item is now ready to be hung
Postage is just to mainland UK with delivery being via UPS, but personal collection is also welcome
