Antique 18th century (or earlier) part of a beam to include:

One tenon

One mortise hole

Two original nails

The tenon is fixed in place 

This item has been extensively sprayed with woodworm killer as a precaution. The wood is stable and solid. Impressive patina.  

Ideal door stop or book end or simply used as a decorative item for display
