Full Description
A delightful, light walnut triform base occasional/side table dating to c.1910
In detail we have the following:
a very competently carved pedestal terminating in tripod feet
the pedestal exhibits poker decoration together with darker foliate carving in places
oval top with a cross-banded perimeter
box wood stringing to the top, together with a central inlaid floral motif
the top is secure, but does unscrew from the pedestal base for transport purposes
there is some historic damage to the top (together with a number of historic repairs) as shown in some of the photographs
the pedestal is in excellent condition
the table is very stable
This is not the usual item I sell being of much later date, but who could fail to be captivated by the charm of this occasional/side table? Lovely colour and a very practical size
