Full Description
An antique, late 19th. century French dressing table mirror
This is a lovely brass dressing mirror of good proportions (most probably gilded originally)
The mirror plate is attractively and naturally distressed which adds to the decorative appeal of this mirror. The top of the frame carries a femal figure (possibly French Empire in style ?).
To the left and right of the bottom of the frame there are two winged cherubs
The brass frame is in good order with no damage
The mirror glass is 1 cms thick and is held in place by 4 brass clips
On the reverse of the frame the remains of gilding can be seen, suggesting that over time the gilding on the front brass has worn away
The rear carries the following numbers:
1021 P
Rd. No. 44517
To the rear of the mirror there is a swing arm support enabling the mirror to be placed on a table
This item could still be used as a dressing table mirror but would also look good as a decorative item on a side or occasional table
The weight of this item is 2.13Kgs
Postage is just to within the UK mainland: delivery will be via UPS
