Full Description

An antique (Georgian) Staffordshire or Leeds pottery creamware tea caddy dating to c.1760

The lid to this item is missing, and there is some wear and losses to the enamel, and some small chips to the edges. There are some larger chips and a hairline crack on one corner of the base - please see the photographs which are a good representation of the item's condition. The hairline crack can be seen in one of the photographs

This item has not been over-painted, sprayed or restored so is in original, as found condition

This tea caddy would have been made in either Staffordshire or at the Hunslet pottery near Leeds. These were the centres of the creamware industry in the 18th century. This is a clearly hand made, not moulded item.

This tea caddy is of 10 sided faceted form and is decorated with hand painted floral sprays in imitation of the famille rose palette

Postage is just to within the UK mainland with delivery being via UPS
