Full Description
A very impressive looking and substantial glazed and canted cupboard in the Dutch style dating to around 1890.
In detail we have the following:
A moulded cornice over a glazed astragal single door. The door consists of 15 glazed panels configured in 3 rows
Brass lock and key in working condition
Canted sides each consisting of 3 glazed panels per side configured as 3 rows
Fitted interior consisting of two scalloped shaped shelves. Both shelves are removeable. The base also acts as additional shelving
Carved plinth
Attractive burgundy and gilt coloured shelves
Oak back panel
Two heavy duty iron hanging brackets are attached to the back, but when I acquired this item it was resting on a drawer base and looked perfectly at home as a free-standing unit
It would be very easy to add lights to this unit at the rear for the display of prized items
